SUPERVISOR, DISTRICT 1

Mark Sanford

Supervisor, District 1

I, Mark Sanford, do formally announce my candidacy for Smith County Supervisor, Beat One. I have lived in Beat One for thirty-four years. My wife, Lisa Blakeney Sanford, and I have lived in the Center Ridge Community for twenty-three years. Lisa is a lifelong resident of Beat One and is the daughter of Nora Blakeney Henderson and the late Billy Joe Blakeney. We have two daughters, Jordan Sanford and Devin Shelden, and we are active members of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

My work background consists of building and construction, working for Smith County Beat One Supervisor, working at Georgia Pacific for twenty-two years as a supervisor for the last ten years, and working as a Production Manager for Conner Industries.  I am now self-employed as a private vendor for Conner Industries.

In the upcoming months, I plan to be out meeting with residents of Beat One to discuss any issues or concerns.  If elected, I will serve Smith County with honesty and integrity, work with and be more transparent to the residents of Beat One, restore and maintain our roads, and support our local schools. Also, I will manage budgets and focus on economic development to bring new jobs and opportunities to the people of Smith County.   You may contact me via phone 601-507-6664 or email gmarksanford@yahoo.com.

I humbly ask for your support by voting Mark Sanford for Beat One Supervisor.
